LUSOLOVE ONLINE CHARITY CUP 🏆
Working Equitation - international
🌎 Let‘s ride together
We hope that all riders throughout the world can quickly return to normality. Until then, competitions as we usually know them are not possible. However, the show must go on! Our horses still need to be exercised and we need new ways and means to present our horses and our work with them, without danger to our or the lives of others. Consequently, we would like to invite you to compete in our LUSOLOVE ONLINE CHARITY CUP. Two Working Equitation dressage tests can be ridden (two-handed and one-handed) and 100% of the entry fees we will donate to the organisation Doctors Without Borders (Médicines Sans Frontières/Ärzte ohne Grenzen) that is fighting on the front line against this pandemic and needs support.
Online Cup? This means that each competitor rides the test at home at the yard and sends us the video. Our qualified judges assess the tests, which are then published on our Facebook page, as are the winners and their prizes. Each competitor receives, by email on request, the test sheets from all three judges. This way you will receive optimal training and expert feedback on your ride and thus where you can improve. We’ve already organised such an online competition in Portugal (see our Facebook page), which received consistently positive feedback. Now we want to see horse and rider combinations from all over the world! We hope you will join in!
Tests:
1. "One Hand” (S/consagrados): WAWE International Working Equitation Dressage Test
2. “Two Hands” (M/debutantes): WAWE Dressage Trial for Junior Riders (open to all riders, not just juniors)
Both tests are in freestyle format. This means that the movements and their order of appearance are predefined, but not where they are to be performed.
There are points for the design of the test. The tests are however not to be performed to music.
Entry conditions:
- Unless otherwise stipulated by us, the WAWE “2017" rules apply (e.g. horse must be at least 6 years old, the test may not last for more than 8 minutes, bandages, brushing and fetlock boots etc. are not allowed, judges to be saluted at the beginning of the test, etc). See http://wawe-official.com/fiche…/wawe_regulations_2017(1).pdf
- One competitor can compete in each test with up to three different horses
- A country-specific competition outfit is not compulsory. Nevertheless we ask for a proper and well-groomed presentation of horse and rider;
- Where possible, the arena should be 20 x 40 m - a minimum size of 15 x 30 m must be adhered to. The arena must be marked with letters. In case these are not available, competitors can improvise using paper and marker pen.
Videos:
A) It is important that the video sent is of good quality and that horse and rider can be seen easily.
B ) The video footage must be in focus (sharp) without blurriness.
C) No cuts during the video footage are allowed. The complete test must be filmed in one cut.
D) The video footage must be filmed from C i.e. in the middle of the short side of the arena.
E) Before the competitor starts the test, the competitor must introduce him- or herself as well as his or her horse. The competitor may also say a few words for the other competitors and audience. For example: “Hi, my name is … and I’m competing today with …. I’m very happy to be competing in the LUSOLOVE ONLINE CHARITY CUP and wish all competitors good luck and the best of health…”
In this way, we can be sure that the video footage is new and filmed for the LUSOLOVE ONLINE CHARITY CUP specifically.
